FAQ

Questions we
get asked.

The straight answers, no sales page around them.

How much does a website cost?

We don't publish a price list - every project is scoped and priced individually, based on what you actually need. Tell us about the work and we'll come back with a proper figure, not a guess.

What services do you offer?

Web design, web development, e-commerce development, ongoing website support and maintenance, branding and graphic design, SEO, and AI chat and self-help tools built on a web platform we also built. We've also started offering AI & Automation consulting - an audit of where your business is losing time, then the automation that earns its place, proven first in our own operations. See the full list on our Services page.

Do you offer AI as a standalone product?

It depends on the site, not a blanket yes or no - we check what's underneath first. AI is only as good as the platform carrying it, whether that's one we built or yours already. Tell us what you've got and what you want it to do, and we'll give you a straight answer.

Do you work with private businesses and SMEs?

Yes - it's most of what we do. Independent dental practices, recruiters, retailers, hospitality brands, tradespeople and local operators make up the majority of our client wall. Council and third-sector work sits alongside that, not instead of it.

How long do clients typically stay with you?

Most of the names on our client wall have worked with us for years, several for over a decade. That's the norm here, not a happy exception.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Yes - it makes up most of our active client base, from single-page sites through to complex builds.

Do you work with councils and public-sector organisations?

Yes. We build and maintain sites for community and town councils and third-sector and advice organisations across Wales, built accessible and procurement-ready.

Do you only work with businesses in Wales?

We're a Wales-focused practice based in Cardiff, but we work with clients across Wales and the wider UK.

Can you build bilingual or Welsh-language sites?

Yes - we've shipped bilingual (Welsh/English) work, including an AI self-help tool deployed across 17 of 19 Welsh Citizens Advice bureaus.

Are your websites accessible?

Yes - we build accessible by default, which matters especially for the public-sector and third-sector clients we work with.

What does the procurement process look like for a council website?

We scope the work properly first - what the site needs to do, who it's for, what content and structure already exists - then come back with a clear, itemised proposal you can take through your own approval process. No published price list, because every council's starting point is different, but nothing vague either.

Do council websites need to meet accessibility standards?

Yes - public-sector websites in the UK are legally required to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. It's the same standard we build to by default across every site we ship, council or otherwise, so it's not an extra phase of work bolted on at the end.

How long does a typical council website project take?

It depends on the scope - a straightforward community council site is a matter of weeks, a larger site with bilingual content or bespoke features takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we've scoped the work, not a generic estimate.

What is the Citizens Advice Wales AI Self Help Tool?

It's an AI chatbot we built for Citizens Advice bureaus in Wales, giving people a first point of contact for common questions before or instead of waiting for an appointment. It's now deployed across 17 of 19 Welsh Citizens Advice bureaus, built on a web platform we also built - it wasn't sold as a standalone bolt-on.

Does the AI tool work in Welsh as well as English?

Yes - it works in Welsh and in English, which matters for a service that has to be genuinely accessible to bureaus and clients across Wales.

Do Citizens Advice bureaus need to meet accessibility standards?

Yes - as public-facing advice services, accessibility matters as much here as it does for councils and other public-sector sites. WCAG 2.2 AA is the standard we build to by default across every site we ship, not an extra phase bolted on at the end.

What does an AI consultancy actually do?

It works out where AI genuinely helps your business, then builds and maintains the systems that deliver it. The first half matters as much as the second: a good AI consultancy will tell you when the answer is that you don't need AI yet.

What's the difference between an AI consultant and an AI agency?

A consultant advises on strategy; an agency builds the thing. We do both, which means the person telling you what's worth building is the one who has to make it work afterwards.

What is an AI agent, and how is it different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions. An agent can take action within defined rules - updating records, moving a job along, handling a step of a process - with a human able to step in. We run both.

Is AI worth it for a small business?

It depends entirely on whether you have a problem AI actually solves. Where a business is losing hours to repetitive admin or missing enquiries it can't answer fast enough, usually yes. Where it isn't, we'll say so rather than sell you something.

Can an AI consultancy really run its own AI, or is it just theory?

Ours does. The chatbot on this site is live and answering real enquiries, and the twelve AI teammates who help run Webjects day to day are named publicly on our How We Work page, alongside the humans who oversee them.

How do I know if my business is ready for AI?

Start with an audit of where your time and enquiries actually go. That's the fastest way to find out, and it doesn't commit you to building anything.

Who can help my business use AI in Cardiff?

Webjects is a Cardiff web design and AI studio, trading since 2010. We audit where AI would genuinely help, build the systems, and keep an eye on them afterwards.

Is there an AI consultancy actually based in Cardiff?

Yes. We've built from Cardiff since 2010, for over 270 businesses and organisations, and most of our client relationships run for years rather than a single project.

Can you build an AI chatbot for my Cardiff business website?

Yes - and we'll check the site underneath can carry it first, whether we built it or not. The chatbot running on this page is the same kind of system.

What does AI consulting cost for a Cardiff business?

It depends on the job: a chatbot on an existing site and a full back-office automation aren't comparable. The audit comes first, you get a written view of what's worth building, and you decide from there.

Do you offer AI readiness audits in Cardiff?

Yes. A structured review of your processes, data and current platform, with a straight answer about where AI would pay for itself and where it wouldn't.

Is there an AI consultancy in Wales offering bilingual Welsh and English tools?

Yes. Our AI self-help tool runs in Welsh and English across 17 of the 19 Welsh Citizens Advice bureaus - in production, not in trial.

Do you work with councils and public bodies in Wales?

Yes. We build and maintain sites for town and community councils across Wales, and AI self-help across the Welsh advice sector.

Do you cover North Wales as well as South Wales?

We're based in Cardiff and work across the whole of Wales - in person across South Wales, remotely for Mid and North Wales.

How do I get started with AI as a small business in Wales?

With a conversation about what's actually costing you time, followed by an audit. Neither commits you to building anything.

Can AI self-help tools be delivered in Welsh as well as English?

Yes, and we've already shipped it. Bilingual AI is harder than translating an English tool, which is why it's worth checking whether a supplier has genuinely done it before.

Is Webjects an AI agency or a web design company?

Both. We're a web design company and an AI agency in Cardiff, working from the same team, because AI only works as well as the site or systems it sits on.

Are there AI companies in Cardiff that work with small businesses?

Yes. Webjects is a web design company and AI agency based in Cardiff, and small businesses make up most of our client wall, not just enterprise or public-sector work.

Do I need a separate AI agency and a web design company, or can one team do both?

One team can do both, and it's usually better if it does. We're a web design company and an AI agency built from the same people, so whatever AI runs on your site is built and maintained by the team that built the site itself.
